Bruce Talbot to Join Wake FC and Carolina RailHawks

Lonestar SC would like to thank Bruce for his hard work, commitment and dedication to our club, our programs, our teams and our players over the last four years. We are thankful to Bruce for his work ethic on and off the field and for the positive impact he had on many young soccer players, especially those he helped develop for and place in college over the last four years. Bruce will be heading back to North Carolina towards the end of June, at the end of the USSFDA season, after the Lonestars 94B USSFDA and Lonestars 96B USSFDA conclude their 2011-2012 season. Bruce will remain a full time LSC staff member until that time and will continue to help facilitate the transition beyond June.

We wish Bruce the best of luck with this dual opportunity to remain involved in the youth game at Wake FC while working with professional level players at the Carolina RailHawks in the NASL. We wish Bruce and his family, though Lisa won’t be leaving Lonestar SC just yet, all the very best on this move back to their longtime adopted homeland of North Carolina.

CONRATULATIONS to our 2012 Graduating Class, ‘The 94s’ (and a few 95’s) who will be celebrated this Thursday evening at the second annual Red & Black Graduation Banquet, check out the link below to see the list of graduating players and see where your Lonestar SC club mates will be playing soccer in college next year… At the time of print there were 93 players committed to playing competitive college soccer (it’s now 94 with Liz Cumberbatch committing to Clarke University). Additionally, with more than 30 players still undecided on where/whether they will play soccer while studying, this will be our largest graduating class both in size and players going on to play competitive soccer. U17 Puerto Rican National Team Invitation

Jonathan Madera, 96/97 Lonestar SC Pre-Academy, and Colter Sanford, 97/98 Lonestar SC Pre-Academy, both received invitations to attend the Puerto Rico National Team Camp in June in preparation for the U17 World Cup qualifications! Congrats Guys!!
